Sarah Gilbert, a professor of vaccinology at the University of Oxford and one of the creators of the Oxford-AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccines, said the next virus could be even more lethal than COVID-19 so the world best be prepared.

Her words: “The truth is, the next one could be worse. It could be more contagious, or more lethal, or both,” she said, Reuters reported.

No dip, Sherlock.

The next one could be tame, too. Or lame. Or completely unnoticeable. A big nothing burger, in other words.

“This will not be the last time a virus threatens our lives and our livelihoods,” Gilbert went on.

You don’t say.

You mean viruses won’t be completely eradicated any time soon?

Big Pharma wants the world to tremble. Big Pharma wants the world to believe that scary, scawwy viruses are everywhere and all over, waiting, lurking, lusting to take down the human race. And truthfully, half of that is truth.

There are roughly 10 nonillion viruses on Earth. That’s 10 to the 31st power; that’s the estimated number of viruses floating about; that’s the scientific community’s best guess.

“There are more viruses than stars in the universe,” National Geographic wrote.

“There Are More Viruses on Earth Than There Are Stars in the Universe,” Air & Space wrote — before adding: “And yes, they’re alive.”

“Trillions Upon Trillions of Viruses Fall From the Sky Each Day,” The New York Times wrote.

And there stands Big Pharma, just waiting to catch one. Just waiting to catch the next big one.

There is a very specific series of events that must transpire for a virus to become deadly or even dangerous for humans. Besides that, as many are essential to human health, to the ecosystems, to animal health, to — get this — regulating and controlling climate. But shh. Trade secret, dontcha know.

Here’s another interesting headline: “AstraZeneca Will Now Profit From Covid Vaccine After Pledge To Sell At Cost During Pandemic,” Forbes wrote in November.

The company initially announced it would not seek to profit off its shot until the danger had passed and the pandemic was no longer rated a pandemic. Recently, company executive Pascal Soriot deemed COVID an almost endemic — meaning, it was still kinda a pandemic, and governments everywhere still deemed it a danger to society, and politicians on power quests still saw it as a means of exerting controls on society, but that for the sake of profit motives, it was “becoming endemic,” AstraZeneca’s CEO said, as Reuters wrote.

This was Soriot then: “We decided to provide it at no profit because our top priority was to protect global health.”

This is Soriot, via a generic company statement, now: “The company is now expecting to progressively transition the vaccine to modest profitability as new orders are received.”

There’re billions to be made.

How many billions?

Enough to say that putting Big Pharma in charge of vaccination policy — listening to Big Pharma warn about looming virus dangers to humanity — is the proverbial fox in charge of the hen house.

Follow the money used to mean something. With the coronavirus, though, fear has driven out common sense and critical thinking.

Already, Big Pharma’s laying the groundwork for more vaccinations.

“The advances we have made, and the knowledge we have gained, must not be lost,” Gilbert said.

And look here: The World Health Organization is calling for more money, more funding, more power to investigate pandemics with a new global treaty — meaning, for Americans, more crackdowns on liberty from global elites. WHO said $10 billion a year could be a good initial investment.

Fear is such a handy tool.
