The Dallas Mavericks hired former Washington Mystics guard Kristi Toliver as an assistant coach on Thursday, according to multiple reports.
Toliver will join Jason Kidd’s staff after she spent the last two years with the Wizards in a player development role under Scott Brooks.
“Thank you all for the love and support entering this new journey with the @dallasmavs. So thankful for this opportunity and can’t wait to get to work,” Toliver tweeted Thursday night.

Toliver, 34, still plays in the WNBA. She’s a WNBA All-Star and two-time champion, having won a ring with the Los Angeles Sparks in 2016 and the Mystics in 2019. She’s averaging 9.5 points and 2.7 assists in 15 games with the Sparks this season. She played in college for Maryland.
The Mavericks hired Kidd this offseason after Rick Carlisle resigned.
