WICHITA, Kan. (AP) - A 19-year-old Wichita man was shot to death after a confrontation that began in the drive-through lane of a Burger King, police said Tuesday.

Quantin McIntosh Jr. died in the shooting late Monday, police Capt. Jason Stephens said.

McIntosh and his girlfriend got into an argument with people in another car in the drive-through lane, and McIntosh followed the car away from the restaurant, Stephens said.

Eventually, both cars stopped and someone inside the second car fired several shots into McIntosh’s vehicle, Stephens said.

His 20-year-old girlfriend drove to were police were working a traffic stop nearby. McIntosh was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Stephens said police don’t know the motive for the shooting or if those involved knew each other.

Investigators continue to search for witnesses or people who were in the second car.
