Aaron Rodgers is a man of many talents, so the Green Bay Packers quarterback held his own when he made his debut as a guest host of “Jeopardy!”

But Rodgers couldn’t escape the football field.

In the episode, which aired Monday, Rodgers posed a prompt to contestants asking which TV personality said to “just take … 10 seconds to think of the people who have helped you become who you are” when accepting a Lifetime Achievement Emmy.

“Who is Mister Rogers?” was the correct response. But Scott, one of the contestants, offered a different question: “Who wanted to kick that field goal?”

Scott was referring to the hotly debated decision from the Packers to kick a field goal while trailing by eight points to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC championship game. Green Bay never got the ball back.

Rodgers took a moment to respond while the crew in attendance laughed, but the quarterback recovered well.

“That is a great question, should be correct,” Rodgers responded. “But unfortunately for this game today, that’s incorrect.”

Rodgers has been a fan of “Jeopardy!” for a long time, and he opened Monday’s episode with a tribute for Alex Trebek, the longtime host who died from pancreatic cancer in November at 80. Rodgers is serving as a guest host for two weeks.

He wouldn’t mind if this becomes a full-time gig, either, but told the Pat McAfee show on Monday that he has no plans to retire anytime soon. He’d even shave his face clean if that was what the show required.

“If that was a pre-req to get the full-time gig, no problem with it at all,” Rodgers said. “… I would love to be the host of ’Jeopardy!’”
