ASHBURN — Washington coach Ron Rivera missed the start of his team’s practice Tuesday as he has begun treatments for his cancer.
Rivera revealed his diagnosis, a variation of skin cancer found in the lymph node, last month.
The 58-year-old said he plans on coaching during his treatment, but acknowledged that there would be times in which he would be unable to because of it.
Without Rivera, the team plans to have defensive Jack Del Rio be its “Plan B.”
