OPINION:
The Justice Department ordered Pennsylvania election officials to change how it does business after a handful of ballots sent in by members of the military were found in — well, DOJ didn’t say, but ABC did: “Nine ballots were found in the trash, prompting an FBI investigation,” the news outlet reported.
Oh my. Seven were votes for President Donald Trump; the other two were sealed and “unknown,” the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Middle District of Pennsylvania said.
What a coincidence.
Democrats have a crappy candidate for president. Democrats are on an all-courts press to get as many voters as possible to mail in ballots, rather than vote in person. And here are these “Trump for president” ballots from the Luzerne County Board of Elections that turn up discarded. What’s a good Republican citizen to think?
The FBI’s Scranton office reported its agents “began an inquiry into reports of potential issues with a small number of mail-in ballots.”
Democrats want it believed that mail-in voting is nothing but a “count every vote” and “every vote is important” kind of campaign. But that’s a lie. That’s bunk.
The Democrats are counting on mass mail-in ballots for two primary reasons: so more — more of the Trump supporting type, that is — can mysteriously go missing and so the party’s bulldog lawyers have time to ramp up the electoral legal challenges.
Democrats are determined to win the White House, no matter the means. If Democratic nominee Joe Biden can’t get the across the finish line — and by all appearances, he doesn’t seem capable of dragging his own body across the finish line, never mind an entire political party’s — but if Biden can’t get it done, then Dem operatives with access to ballots will. And if Dem operatives with access to ballots can’t get it done, Dem-supporting attorneys will.
“Biden Creates Legal War Room, Preparing for a Big Fight,” The New York Times wrote just a few days ago.
“Biden assembles army of attorneys for post-election legal fight,” The Guardian reported, also just recently.
The left and the leftists in the media would have it believed that honest Joe is simply preparing for a scenario in which Trump refuses to leave the White House, a la dictatorial coup. But the real plot is for the left to challenge election results here, challenge election results there, challenge election results all over — until enough hanging chads have been counted to put the win in Biden’s hands.
That’s the left’s strategy.
Those are the Democratic Party’s plans.
That’s why the left is busily assembling its team of mighty lawyers.
And it all depends on the mail-in ballot.
“Even though your staff has made some attempts to reconstitute certain of the improperly opened ballots,” U.S. attorney David Freed said in a letter to Luzerne County officials, “there is no guarantee that any of these votes will be counted in the general election.”
Hmm. Seven, possibly nine, known votes for Trump — cast to the side.
That’s a drop in the bucket of what Democrats are planning for this November.
