FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Delta Regional Authority grants will fund 11 projects in western Kentucky, Gov. Andy Beshear said.

Nearly $4.8 million will go toward projects that will update infrastructure, expand broadband and health care access, and improve opportunities for economic development, the governor said Monday in a statement.

Funding will go to improve broadband access in Henderson and Hopkins counties, improve infrastructure at the Fulton County Industrial Park, improve service provided by the Lincoln-Todd Regional Water Commission and improve health care access in Trigg County.

Among cities, the funding will go to improve dental care in Elkton, improve wastewater treatment in Greenville, improve water service in Henderson, and improve job training in Madisonville and Paducah.

“These 11 projects will make a great difference for infrastructure, economic development, health care and education, which are all priorities as we build a brighter, better Kentucky,” Beshear said.

The Delta Regional Authority works to improve economic opportunities in eight states including Kentucky.
