LAS VEGAS (AP) - Two Nevada prison inmates will spend at least another decade behind bars for the fatal stabbing of another inmate in a gang-related attack at a correctional facility outside Las Vegas in 2016.

Jeremy Kenneth Nuckles, 43, and Justin Matthias Muncy, 36, pleaded guilty in July to second-degree murder in the death of Ralph Goodman, 39, at High Desert State Prison in Indian Springs.

Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford announced Friday Clark County District Judge Michael Villani sentenced them Aug. 28 - Nuckles to life in prison and Muncy to 10-25 years.

Nuckles will be eligible for parole on that charge after 10 years, but also must serve a consecutive term of 4-10 years for use of a deadly weapon.

Nuckles, an alleged Aryan Warriors member, had been serving 11-to-50 years for a variety of weapon, robbery and burglary convictions in Las Vegas.

Muncy denied membership in the white supremacist gang. He had been nearing release on attempted battery and robbery convictions in Las Vegas.

Officials said Goodman was being escorted by a guard across a prison yard when Nuckles and Muncy attacked him despite being pepper sprayed. Goodman had been in prison since 2004, serving two life sentences for murder and other charges.
