PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police were trying to piece together the circumstances of an early morning incident in which three teens showed up at hospitals after being shot during a fight at a party at a vacant warehouse.
Police were called by two different hospitals Saturday regarding a 17-year-old girl, a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man who had been shot, said Sgt. Tommy Thompson, a Police Department spokesman.
The 17-year-old boy was hospitalized for injuries described as life-threatening and the other two teens had less serious injuries, Thompson said.
Initial investigation indicated that a chain-link fence had been cut to gain entrance to the warehouse and that an unidentified person fired multiples at the victims as they were outside the warehouse, Thompson said.
“Everyone fled the scene and the three victims were driven to hospitals,” Thompson said.
Nobody was at the warehouse when police checked it out, Thompson said.
