WHAT’S AT STAKE?
The Aggies bounced back from a tough loss at No. 2 Alabama with consecutive wins over then-No. 4 Florida and Mississippi State before an off week last Saturday. Texas A&M looks to build on that momentum on Saturday where a win over Arkansas will keep the Aggies in second place in the SEC West behind the Crimson Tide. The Razorbacks have been inconsistent this season but are coming off a win over Mississippi two weeks ago.
KEY MATCHUP
Texas A&M QB Kellen Mond vs. the Arkansas secondary. Mond has thrown for 984 yards and nine touchdowns with just two interceptions. Arkansas ranks first in the nation with 10 interceptions after the team had six, including two that were returned for TDs, in its last game against Ole Miss.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Arkansas: LB Grant Morgan. The senior had a career-high 19 tackles, including three for losses, and a sack in the win over the Rebels. He also broke up two passes and returned an interception 23 yards for a touchdown to earn SEC co-defensive player of the week honors. He leads the SEC and ranks fifth in the nation by averaging 13 tackles a game.
Texas A&M: RB Isaiah Spiller. The sophomore ranks fourth in the SEC with 430 yards rushing and leads the league by averaging 6.72 yards a carry. He’s gained 100 yards or more in three of four games this season and has four rushing touchdowns.
