Georgetown was voted Wednesday to finish last in the Big East this upcoming season by the conference’s coaches in their annual preseason poll.

The results come after a rocky offseason for the Hoyas in which the program saw guard Mac McClung transfer to Texas Tech and big man Omer Yurtseven declare for the NBA draft. 

Georgetown finished last season with a 15-17 record, 5-13 in the Big East. It ended the season on a seven-game losing streak and finished eighth in the conference. 

Here is the projected order of finishl: 

1. Villanova (9 first place votes)

2. Creighton (2)

3. Providence

4. UConn

5. Seton Hall

6. Marquette

7.Xavier

8. Butler 

9. St. John’s

10. DePaul

11. Georgetown

Georgetown’s season begins Dec. 11 against Villanova.
