CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - A West Virginia man has been sentenced to a year in prison for embezzling about $50,000 from a labor union.

Rick Drain, 56, of Vienna, was sentenced in federal court in Charleston. Prosecutors say he also agreed to pay restitution.

Drain was the business manager of a local union chapter who used his position to pocket the dues and fees collected from union members instead of depositing them into a bank account, prosecutors said.
