Dwayne Haskins will miss another day of practice Thursday with an illness. The Washington quarterback now has missed two straight days of practice and also last Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Coach Ron Rivera said Wednesday that Haskins, who was demoted from starter to third string last week, is dealing with an issue to his gastrointestinal system. The illness is not believed to be related to COVID-19.

All I know is he came in, he talked to the doctors, they checked him out, they gave him some medicine, he took his COVID test and then he went home,” Rivera said.

Rivera added that he expected Haskins to practice Thursday — but that won’t be the case.

Haskins reported to Washington’s facility Thursday, met with the doctors, took a COVID-19 test and then went home as he was still sick.

CBS 4 first reported the news.
