President Trump’s former adviser Sebastian Gorka suggested that the administration send U.S. Marshals to “break down the doors” of places where votes cast in his race for reelection are being counted.
The former White House strategist recommended the deployment while complaining during his radio show Thursday about purported claims of fraud he alleges to have marred the recent White House race.
Speaking on “America First with Sebastian Gorka,” he attacked Democratic presidential nominee Joseph R. Biden and demanded that evidence be made available to prove the election was not rigged.
“We just need the evidence. We need the paper trail. We need the judges to enforce the rule of law, and if the local bureaucrats prevent us from seeing the evidence, from seeing the legitimate votes, we need the U.S. Marshals to deploy, and they need to break down the doors of those polling stations and stop the crimes being committed. It is that simple,” Mr. Gorka said on his show.
“Now, now, now, get out on the streets, protest, show them who you are and that they can’t get away with it,” Mr. Gorka said later during his radio show.
Mr. Biden led Mr. Trump in electoral and popular votes as of Friday afternoon, putting him on track to potentially become president-elect depending on ongoing counting and litigation being launched.
The president has claimed without evidence, before and after voting ended, that Tuesday’s election was rigged. Fellow Republicans are accordingly pursuing related lawsuits in several states.
Mr. Gorka, 50, left the White House in August 2017 and became a product spokesman and syndicated radio host. He was appointed by Mr. Trump earlier this year to serve on the National Security Education Board.
