LACONIA, N.H. (AP) - A low-income housing complex in Laconia is now under the control of a local agency that plans to improve the living spaces for current and future tenants.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development recently transferred ownership of the 98-unit Sunrise Residential Living Campus to Laconia Housing. Officials say the transfer will enable the agency to make capital improvements more quickly.
The campus includes Sunrise Towers, Sunrise House, and Tavern Inn Apartments and provides Medicaid-eligible seniors and disabled tenants with support services as an alternative traditional nursing homes.
