No. 13 Georgia (5-2, 5-2 SEC, No. 9 CFP) at South Carolina (2-6, 2-6), Saturday at 7:30 p.m. EST (SEC Network).

Line: Georgia by 21 1/2.

Series record: Georgia leads 51-19-2.

WHAT’S AT STAKE?

Georgia is trying to stay in range of a New Year’s Six bowl game if one-loss SEC teams ahead of it like Texas A&M and Florida slip up. South Carolina, which already fired coach Will Muschamp two weeks ago, hopes to find a win or two to wrap up a troubling season.

KEY MATCHUP

Georgia quarterback JT Daniels vs. South Carolina’s secondary. A once-formidable matchup looks a lot more one-sided than it did a couple of weeks ago. Along with Daniels’ stunning, 401-yard, four touchdown debut for Georgia in a 31-24 victory over Mississippi State last week, South Carolina lost its two best defensive backs in NFL draft hopefuls Jaycee Horn and Israel Mukuamu, who both opted out after Muschamp’s firing.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Georgia WR Kearis Jackson: The sophomore has emerged as the Bulldogs’ go-to target this season, with 31 catches for 451 yards and three touchdowns. Count on Daniels to look for him more against the Gamecocks.

South Carolina QB Luke Doty: The true freshman’s debut brought a spark to South Carolina’s inconsistent offense as he nearly pulled off a comeback from 17 points down against Missouri last week. Doty accounted for 189 of the Gamecocks’ 283 yards of offense against the Tigers.
