James Harden is now in the NFL.
Well, his name is, at least.
Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr shouted “JAMES HARDEN” as an audible during their 35-31 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on “Sunday Night Football.”
With no fans in the stadium, NBC’s microphones picked up the reference to the NBA star clearly on the broadcast.
The play prompted plenty of jokes on Twitter:
Derek Carr pulled out the James Harden audible 😂

gotta be glad that JAMES HARDEN is an offensive audible and not a defensive playcall. pic.twitter.com/PZIPzok3rs

As soon as Derek Carr called an audible “James Harden” the entire field knew it wasn’t a pass

That play certainly didn’t dribble long enough to have a “James Harden” audible.

Derek Carr yells the audible “James Harden” and they proceed to run Iso. That’s good stuff.

I knew the Raiders were blowing the lead in a big game once Derek Carr used “James Harden” as an audible.
