HOMESTEAD, Fla. (AP) - Two people have died in separate house fires in Miami-Dade County.

Homestead police and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews responded to a fire in Homestead, which is south of Miami, on Tuesday afternoon. Neighbors reported seeing fire coming from the home, news outlets reported.

Once the fire was out, crews found a woman’s body inside, authorities said. The woman’s name has not been released.

The state fire marshal’s office and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue are investigating.

In North Miami, fire crews found a 53-year-old woman inside a burning home early Tuesday morning, WSVN reported. Fire crews took her to the hospital, but she later died.

The cause of that fire has not been determined.
