With the Washington Redskins’ practice facility closed, Dwayne Haskins has spent time this offseason throwing to receivers Terry McLaurin and Kelvin Harmon.
But on Wednesday, the Redskins quarterback was seen throwing bombs to a seven-time Pro Bowler: Antonio Brown.
Videos captured Haskins working out with Brown, Buffalo Bills receiver Stefon Diggs and former wideout Chad Johnson in Miami, Florida. Brown, the oft-troubled wide receiver who was cut from the New England Patriots last year, uploaded footage on his Instagram. Johnson also tweeted out clips of the session.
Pepe vs @stefondiggs (many of you may laugh at me but I’m in a position to make a play & missed the ball by inches, great throw by @dh_simba7) 🏈 pic.twitter.com/PSZuxHzWaz

More of Dwayne Haskins and Antonio Brown. I don’t care that there is no pass rush. I don’t care that, for some reason, Chad Ochocinco is the only guy playing DB. This is so fun to watch pic.twitter.com/9WBemsGNBs

Technically, Brown is a free agent, though his status is complicated amid an investigation from the NFL over his conduct. In September, the Patriots released Brown following a sexual harassment allegation and a Sports Illustrated story that detailed how Brown sent threatening text messages to his accuser.
Brown’s release came two weeks after he joined New England, where he’d signed after his release from the Oakland Raiders. The receiver has also made headlines for comments made against Patriots owner Robert Kraft and the league as a whole.
That conduct makes it unlikely the Redskins would be interested in signing Brown, despite having plenty of cap space to do so.
But Haskins isn’t the first quarterback to welcome working out with Brown since his release. Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has also had a throwing session with Brown.
In December, Haskins commented underneath an Instagram post from Brown, “Letssss gooo bro. AB to DC.”
