Eli Manning joined Twitter. And the retired New York Giants quarterback found an old foe waiting for him.
In a humorous exchange, quarterback Tom Brady welcomed Manning to the social media platform with a zinger — only for Manning to give it right back. The two, of course, went head-to-head in two Super Bowls, with Manning prevailing as the winner each time.
Welcome @EliManning, In typical fashion, you never showed up until the 4th quarter anyway 😜 https://t.co/Wbun1VS2A0

Manning, though, had a comeback ready.
Hope your golf game is as polished as your Twitter game. Don’t hit it in the lumberyard. https://t.co/SaPL34P2T2

Manning’s reference is to to charity golf tournament Brady will participate in Sunday alongside Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning.
When he was with the New England Patriots, Brady lost to Eli Manning in Super Bowl XLII in 2008 and Super Bowl XLVI in 2012. The 2008 matchup, in particular, is considered to be one of the greatest upsets of all-time as Manning and the Giants knocked off the Patriots to spoil their undefeated season.
