ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - The Florida National Guard’s 125th Fighter Wing will be flying over Orlando on Wednesday to honor health care workers and first responders for their part in fighting the coronavirus.

Two F-15Cs are expected to begin the flyover about 11:35 a.m. in Orlando, according to a Facebook posting. The unit is based in Jacksonville.

The National Guard is urging people to observe from the safety of their homes or workplaces instead of traveling to see the planes. They are asking people to continue practicing social distancing during the flyover.

During the approximately 15-minute flyover, the planes will be passing over hospitals to honor the health care workers.

Last week, the U. S. Navy’s Blue Angels flew over Jacksonville and South Florida to honor healthcare workers there.
