The New York Knicks have officially lost Spike Lee.
For this season at least.
The Oscar-winning writer-director, who famously sits court side for Knicks’ games at Madison Square Garden, said Tuesday he won’t attend another Knicks game for the rest of the season after he accused owner James Dolan of harassing him.
An online video circulated Monday of Lee arguing with MSG officials outside an elevator. The Knicks put out a public statement, saying Lee was trying to use the wrong entrance to attend the game.
Lee, though, pushed back against that statement when appearing on ESPN on Tuesday morning.
“I’m coming back next year, but I’m done for the season. I’m done.”
