He’s back!

Beto O’Rourke, the arm-bouncing, cadence jabbering Howdy Doody of Texas — the white Barack Obama, as some affectionately dubbed — has come out of hiding and come back to politics.

He’s bobbing for Biden. Oh boy, oh joy. And you thought the Democrats were simple dull socialists.

“We have someone,” he said at Joe Biden’s recent Dallas rally, “who can beat Donald Trump. The man in the White House today poses an existential threat to this country, to our democracy, to free and fair elections, and we need somebody who can beat him, and in Joe Biden we have that man.”

And Joe Biden is that man and we are in him and he is in us and we are together.

Can’t you just hear the rhythm now?

This is great news for political watchers — Beto is back. He’s entertaining and humorous and all fluff and no substance and the great thing about listening to him is that he makes you think. Like, really think. Like one of the things he makes you think hard on when he talks is trying to understand what he’s saying. With Beto, it’s all words; zero message. So the fun and humor and thinking comes in trying to see how many words he can say without saying anything.

“We have someone who in fact is the antithesis of Donald Trump,” O’Rourke said, as Mediaite noted. “Joe Biden is decent, he’s kind, he’s caring, he’s empathetic.”

What a platform. Vote Joe: He’s really nice.

O’Rourke may not be the sharpest tool in the shed; he may not be the brains behind Biden’s political climb. But he can put on a cowboy hat and sing-song a little political ditty.

He can serve as a great distraction from angry Bernie Sanders, all the while helping Biden remember he’s running for president, not senator. Beto’s back! Let the bobbing begin.
