LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Public comment is open on draft recommendations on propane availability in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
The recommendations suggest actions Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, the state Legislature and state agencies can take to better track and anticipate propane supply and distribution, according to the Energy Task Force.
Other recommendations involve storage capacity, supply infrastructure, ways to minimize disruption impact, consumer protections and actions to provide a more cohesive plan for those disproportionately affected by high energy costs in the Upper Peninsula.
Public comment is open until April 6. Comments will be shared with task force members for possible inclusion into a final report due to Whitmer by April 17.
