It’s officially over between Trish Regan and Fox Business Network.
Both sides released amicable statements on Friday over the commentator’s exit, which came in the wake of her coronavirus pandemic coverage.
“I have enjoyed my time at FOX and now intend to focus on my family during these troubled times. I am grateful to my incredible team at FOX Business and for the many opportunities the network has provided me. I’m looking forward to this next chapter in my career,” Ms. Regan said in a statement.
Similarly, Fox Business Network’s statement focused on her future instead of controversy surrounding her opinions on the pandemic.
“We thank her for her contributions to the network over the years and wish her continued success in her future endeavors,” the network told CNN Business. “We will continue our reduced live primetime schedule for the foreseeable future in an effort to allocate staff resources to continuous breaking news coverage on the Coronavirus crisis.”
Ms. Regan’s show was pulled earlier this month after she blasted parts of “the liberal media” for exploiting the pandemic to politically hobble the president.
Her statement that partisan actors wanted “impeachment all over again,” resulted in the demise of “Trish Regan Primetime.”
The Fox Business Network announced it parted ways with Trish Regan, the conservative news host who ignited controversy earlier this month when she dismissed the coronavirus pandemic as a conspiracy to throw President Trump out of office https://t.co/cdJZiUd9yT
