President Trump has tested negative for the coronavirus, the White House physician said Saturday.
Dr. Sean Conley said the president took the test Friday night “after an in-depth discussion” with him.
“This evening I received confirmation that the test is negative,” Dr. Conley wrote in a memo released by the White House.
The doctor said one week after Mr. Trump had dinner with Brazilian officials at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, the president remains symptom-free.
At least two of the Brazilians have since tested positive for the virus, including the press secretary of President Jair Bolsonaro.
Dr. Conley said he has been in daily contact with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and “we are encouraging the implementation of all their best practices for exposure reduction and transmission mitigation.”
