ESPN reported Jazz players said Gobert had been “careless” in touching other players.
It is not clear whether Mitchell was showing any symptoms of coronavirus before he had tested positive. The 23-year-old was still scheduled to play in Wednesday’s game before it was called off.
Mitchell is Utah’s leading scorer and was named to the All-Star team for the first time this year.
Sources: Donovan Mitchell was the only Jazz player/personnel to test positive for coronavirus out of 58 tests administered on Wednesday night. Remaining tests came back negative.
