MSNBC viewers who wanted to know about Joe Biden’s “you’re full of s—t” moment on Tuesday were told, for all intents and purposes, that it was much ado about nothing by Andrea Mitchell.

The network’s anchor covered the altercation, which spread across social media like wildfire, by framing it as a spirited discussion between men.

“You’re full of s–” Mr. Biden told an auto-plant employee after being asked about his positions on gun rights.

The Democratic Party’s presidential front-runner also said “don’t be such a horse’s a—” before being cut off and escorted away.

Another moment between the two men included Mr. Biden pointing his right index finger in the voter’s face while talking about “going outside.”

The incident was covered as follows by Ms. Mitchell: “Former Vice President Joe Biden mixing it up with an autoworker who accused him of trying to take his guns away for supporting gun reform after the Newtown massacre. Biden at one point saying that the worker was, and I’m paraphrasing it, ’full of it.’”

One issue for the voter appeared to be a recent clip of Mr. Biden eating with failed presidential hopeful Beto O’Rourke.

“By the way, this guy can change the face of what we are doing here, with regard to guns, assault weapons, with regard to dealing with climate change,” Mr. Biden said while eating with Mr. O’Rourke in a Texas Whataburger. “I was just warning Amy [O’Rourke], ’If I win, I’m coming for [O’Rourke].’”

Mr. O’Rourke is a fierce anti-gun advocate who told voters prior to his campaign’s implosion: “Hell yes, we’re going to take away your AR-15, your AK-47.”
