FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky will begin offering in-person unemployment insurance services next week.

Appointments will be available beginning on Monday in Frankfort, at the Mayo-Underwood Building, according to a news release from the state Labor Cabinet. The appointments will be available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., except for state holidays, and will continue until further notice.

In-person assistance will be available by appointment only on June 29 and June 30 in Grayson at the Ashland Community and Technical College and in Owensboro at the Owensboro Community and Technical College. The appointments are available from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time.

Claimants must bring two forms of identification, like their driver’s license or other photo ID and social security card.

Appointments can be made at kcc.ky.gov by going to the “view services” button under the heading “In-Person UI Services.”

Kentuckians who need additional assistance with their unemployment insurance claims can also use the “chat” service at kcc.ky.gov or call (502) 564-2900.

The Office of Unemployment Insurance and the Kentucky Labor Cabinet are working together to identify additional times and locations for in-person services around the state. Those will be announced soon.
