No threat of tsunami after 5.9 earthquake off Guam

HAGATNA, Guam (AP) - A magnitude 5.9 earthquake struck off Guam early Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage following the earthquake that struck 55.9 miles (90 kilometers) northeast of Yigo Village.

There were no reports made to Guam 911 dispatch from the earthquake, Pacific Daily News reported.

There was no tsunami warning, advisory, watch, or threat, according to the U.S. Tsunami Warning System.

Some people across Guam reported to the USGS that they felt some weak-to-light shaking.

The quake had a depth of 41.4 miles (66.7 kilometers).
