WHEELOCK, Vt. (AP) - A Newport man died in a single-vehicle car crash in Wheelock early Sunday that was discovered about 11 hours later, Vermont State Police said.
Tristan Coderre, 20, died of his injuries, police said. Police believe the crash happened around 1:30 a.m. when Coderre’s vehicle went off Route 16, down an embankment and hit a tree. Police responded to the crash at 12:30 p.m. after they say someone driving a tractor spotted the vehicle.
Coderre was not wearing a seat belt, police said.
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call Vermont State Police in St. Johnsbury.
