MACOMB TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - A 21-year-old suburban Detroit man faces assault with intent to murder and malicious destruction of property charges after shots were fired outside a sports bar.

Authorities say one shot was fired at a rear door of the Macomb Township bar around 2:20 a.m. Monday as an employee was exiting the door. Another was fired at a vehicle in the parking lot.

The man earlier threatened to “shoot up” the building as security staff made him leave the bar, according to the Macomb County sheriff’s office.

He later was arrested at his Macomb Township home, north of Detroit.
