Tucker Carlson is bidding adieu to The Daily Caller.
The Fox News host says he is “too absorbed” with his work at the cable news giant and has decided to sell his one-third stake in the popular website, which he co-founded with publisher Neil Patel a decade ago.
“I wasn’t helping in any way, because I’ve got an hour to do every night,” he said of the decision, The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday.
Regardless, the conservative pundit assured readers that The Daily Caller is in good hands.
“[Mr. Patel] is one of the very rare conservative intellectuals who understands business,” he said. “There’s no magic secret, as far as I know, other than he keeps costs in line with revenue.”
“Tucker Carlson Tonight” airs on Fox weekdays at 8 p.m. EDT.
