Democrats desperately need Joe Biden to win the presidency so they can use the 25th Amendment to displace him with a radical-left vice president. Depending on the circumstances surrounding Biden’s vacating the presidency, the vice president will either be an acting president or a successor president. If advanced to the presidency as a successor, assuming that Biden dies or resigns, the new president will almost certainly nominate another radical leftist for confirmation as vice president.

The 25th Amendment is ripe for setting conditions for instability and chaos in Congress and the country as a whole. This could easily make President Trump’s impeachment proceedings look tame by comparison. Mr. Trump and the GOP should make this disastrous prospect crystal-clear to voters.

Daniel Gallington’s column, “Joe Biden’s lying, bullying and cognitive deficits make him a poor choice for president” (Web, July 11), lists additional serious issues besides the 25th Amendment that a Biden presidency would bring to the Oval Office. Not the least of which is Biden’s history of plagiarism, in which he has attributed the work and ideas of others to himself. This is a character flaw of a cheat, and one which Biden has exhibited throughout his career.

With only erratic moments of lucidity, Joe Biden’s character flaws and cognitive baggage would assuredly raise the nation’s security and safety to “hazardous risk.”
