Planned Parenthood is none too happy with Kanye West over a recent Forbes interview.

The entertainer — and now 2020 presidential hopeful — rankled Nia Martin-Robinson, director of Black Leadership and Engagement, for saying “Planned Parenthoods have been placed inside cities by white supremacists to do the Devil’s work.”

Ms. Robinson told the entertainment website TMZ on Wednesday that Mr. West was ignoring “the real threat” to Black Americans.

“Any insinuation that abortion is Black genocide is offensive and infantilizing,” she said of Planned Parenthood’s U.S. abortions. “The real threat to Black communities’ safety, health, and lives stems from lack of access to quality, affordable health care, police violence and the criminalization of reproductive health care by anti-abortion opposition.”

She later added that Black women “want and deserve to have access to the best medical care available.”

Mr. West also noted during his interview that his presidential campaign may end up helping President Trump.

“I’m not denying it,” he said. “I just told you — to say that the Black vote is [by default] Democratic is a form of racism and white supremacy.”
