DAVIS, Calif. (AP) - Stefan Gonzalez scored 19 points, making five 3-pointers, all 12 players scored and UC Davis blasted past Division II Holy Names 101-41 Friday night.
UC Davis broke 100 points for the second time this season and the 41 points allowed was a Division I-era low for the program.
The Aggies (6-10) closed the first half on a 22-0 run over 6:14, expanding their lead from 28-18 to 50-18 by the break. Holy Names was 0-for-6 from the floor and suffered six turnovers during the span.
Matt Neufeld scored 13 points for UC Davis, which ended a two-game losing streak. Caleb Fuller and Ezra Manjon added 11 points each.
Anthony Dennis and Justin Chambers each scored 10 for the Hawks.
UC Davis committed just six turnovers of its own, and scored 27 points off 21 Holy Names turnovers. The Aggies dominated the paint, 50-18 and had 23 assists. UC Davis was playing just its fourth home game of the season, maintaining a 4-0 record.
The Aggies open Big West Conference play against UC Riverside on Thursday.
