The social media giant TikTok says its recent removal of a pro-life activist group from its site was the result of “human error” and not viewpoint discrimination.

Earlier on Friday, antiabortion group Live Action objected to a sudden an unexplained ban on the group’s TikTok account. But later in the day, the group had been reinstated.

“Following a review, we have determined that there were no violations of our Community Guidelines,” said a TikTok spokesperson, in an email to The Washington Times on Friday. “[A]nd the issue was the result of a human error by a moderator.”

“The opaque and arbitrary removal of Live Action’s account should never have occurred and pro-life advocates need assurance it will not happen again,” said Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the pro-life Susan B. Anthony List.

Last year, Live Action objected when Facebook moderators blacklisted the group after declaring that no abortion was ever medically necessary. That action drew condemnation from U.S. senators toward the social media giant.

TikTok is a popular vide-sharing social network owned by a Beijing-based company.
