PULASKI, Wis. (AP) - If a Pulaski company cannot find a buyer by March, more than 300 employees will be temporarily out of work.

WLUK-TV reports Marquis Yachts notified the state Department of Workforce Development this week that if a sale cannot be finalized by March 1, the facility will temporarily close while it seeks a potential buyer.

CEO Rob Parmentier says the company has been “actively engaged” with a couple of potential buyers.

The company’s 344 Pulaski employees were informed of the potential layoffs this week.

Parmentier told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in 2018 the effect on the trade wars with Europe, China, Mexico and Canada had been “catastrophic” on the business because of order cancellations and a steep rise in building materials prices.
