BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The North Dakota Supreme Court has rejected an appeal of a former Lyft driver from Mandan convicted of sexually assaulting a customer.
Corey Wickham argued that some expert testimony during his trial should not have been admitted.
Wickham argued the prosecution should have been required to qualify five witnesses as expert. He says he wouldn’t have been convicted without their testimony.
The Bismarck Tribune reports Wickham was sentenced last spring to 20 years in prison after a jury convicted him of two counts of felony sexual assault. He was accused of assaulting a woman after driving her to her residence.
The Supreme Court justices noted Wickham did not object to the testimony at trial.
