Weeks after the end of the regular season, a number of former Redskins coaches have found new jobs.

Former Redskins interim coach Bill Callahan agreed to join the Cleveland Browns as the offensive line coach under Kevin Stefanski, who was hired last week.

Callahan, 63, is a longtime offensive line coach, though led the Redskins for the final eight games after Jay Gruden was fired in October. Callahan advocated for taking over the job on a full-time basis, but the Redskins went with Ron Rivera instead.

Callahan’s hire, which was reported by multiple outlets, is the latest shuffle for the former members of Gruden’s staff.

Offensive coordinator Kevin O’Connell was hired for the same position with the Los Angeles Rams. The 34-year-old will work with former Redskins coordinator and Rams coach Sean McVay. McVay, however, is the one who calls plays in Los Angeles, so presumably, O’Connell will lose that duty after spending the last few months as Washington’s play-caller.

Elsewhere, the Dallas Cowboys hired Jim Tomsula to be their defensive line coach under Mike McCarthy. Tomsula spent three seasons with Washington, joining the staff to work with Greg Manusky.

Manusky, Washington’s former defensive coordinator, has not found a new job yet. The same goes for Gruden, who is set to interview with the Jacksonville Jaguars for their offensive coordinator vacancy.

Former quarterbacks coach Tim Rattay joined Oklahoma State’s staff in the same role. Before joining Washington in 2019, Rattay had been a coach only at the college level.

Under Rivera, the Redskins retained only two members of Gruden’s former staff: running backs coach Randy Jordan and special teams coach Nate Kaczor.
