The Marvel Cinematic Universe will give a transgender character the limelight in the very near future.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige recently told the New York Film Academy that LGBTQ issues would be spotlighted “very soon” in the popular superhero films.

“Yes, absolutely,” he said Dec. 28, NBC News reported Thursday. “Yes. Very soon. In a movie we’re shooting right now.”

The Hollywood power player emphasized future representation of “the T” in LGBTQ, although he said in a previous interview that Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie character would be involved in an LGBTQ storyline for director Taika Waititi’s “Thor: Love and Thunder” expected in 2021.

“As new king, she needs to find her queen,” Ms. Thompson also told fans in July 2019. “That will be her first order of business. She has some ideas. Keep you posted.”
