Larry Fitzgerald will return to the Arizona Cardinals for his 17th season after signing a one-year contact extension, the team announced Wednesday.
Fitzgerald, 36, had 74 catches for 804 yards for four touchdowns in 2019. Drafted third overall in 2004, Fitzgerald is currently second all-time in receiving yards with 17,083. He has made the Pro Bowl 11 times and was named first-team All-Pro once.
After the season, Fitzgerald said he would take time before deciding his future. But the receiver decided he wanted to return and signed a new contract to make sure he’ll be back for another year.

The Redskins will play the Cardinals next season, but the details have not been set. The NFL releases its schedule typically in April.
