EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (AP) - Shamar Wright had a season-high 20 points as Southern Illinois-Edwardsville defeated Eastern Kentucky 83-75 on Saturday.

Brandon Jackson had 14 points and seven rebounds for SIU-Edwardsville (6-19, 3-9 Ohio Valley Conference), which ended its four-game losing streak. Anselm Uzuegbunem added 12 points and 10 rebounds. Tyresse Williford had six rebounds.

Jomaru Brown had 21 points and six assists for the Colonels (12-13, 9-3), whose six-game winning streak came to an end. Michael Moreno added 18 points and 11 rebounds. Lachlan Anderson had 11 points and seven rebounds.

Ty Taylor, whose 12 points per game entering the matchup ranked second on the Colonels, shot only 18 percent in the game (3 of 17).

The Cougars leveled the season series against the Colonels with the win. Eastern Kentucky defeated SIU-Edwardsville 78-72 on Jan. 11. SIU-Edwardsville plays Eastern Illinois on the road on Thursday. Eastern Kentucky takes on Morehead State on the road on Thursday.
