Mark Levin says House Speaker Nancy Pelosi — fresh off her decision to tear up a copy of President Trump’s State of the Union address — is emblematic of the Democrats’ transformation into the “Hate America First Party.”
The conservative radio host referred to by fans as “the great one” live-tweeted commentary on Mr. Trump’s speech Tuesday evening, in addition to offering additional analysis Wednesday morning.
“Pelosi has disgraced herself, her office, and the House yet again,” he wrote after she ripped up Mr. Trump’s remarks on one of the last living Tuskegee Airmen, economic prosperity, and other uplifting stories. “Her antics throughout the speech, and her drama thereafter, further expose her as a classless political hack.”
“The Democrat Party — the Hate America First Party,” he added Wednesday.
Fox News’ senior political analyst Brit Hume offered similar sentiments, saying: “Pretty clear the extent to which Trump has frustrated Pelosi. She thinks he’s an evil buffoon yet here he is, in better shape politically than at any time since his inauguration.”
Mr. Trump responded to Mrs. Pelosi’s actions by taking the high road while retweeting others who expressed disappointment in the Democrat.
“It was a great and triumphant evening for our Country,” Mr. Trump tweeted Wednesday morning. “Thank you for all of the nice remarks and wonderful reviews of my State of the Union Speech. It was my great honor to have done it!”
