Sen. Bernie Sanders is making the Democrats very uneasy — so uneasy, in fact, that leftist insiders are reportedly whispering up a storm about the potential to bring in Sherrod Brown, Michelle Obama, Nancy Pelosi and others seen as more in line with the party’s values.

Which isn’t really much of a standard to meet when you think about it, because Democrat values include everything from killing babies to beating MAGA-hat wearers on the head with baseball bats.

Hey, if the pretty universally hated House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is being named as a possible candidate to beat Sanders, you know the party’s desperate.

From Yahoo! News: “[A] growing number of establishment party officials are reportedly considering Sherrod Brown as a late entry ’white knight’ with Michelle Obama as a running mate. Other potential candidates … include Kamala Harris … as well as [H]ouse [S]peaker Nancy Pelosi, according to the New York Times’ interview with 93 party officials.”

The 93 party officials were super-delegates.

And the thing about Democrat super-delegates is this: They may be leftists. But they like their wealth as well as the next guy. To them, Sanders is breaking a key Democratic Party rule, which goes like this: Attack capitalism, attack Big Business, attack greedy corporations who donate to greedy Republicans. But don’t mean it. Don’t follow those attacks with actions that will actually strip Democrats of their wealth.

Sanders’ big offense is he means to take from all — Republicans as well as Democrats — and redistribute to the lower classes of society.

That’s why Democrats are panicking.

They’re OK with Sanders making Republicans the pariahs. But Sanders’ anti-capitalism schemes would actually rope in Democrats.

So super-delegates are scrambling, looking for a new candidate who will better talk the talk without actually making Democrats walk the walk.

Anyone, anyone at all? How about Donner Party of one, please?

It’s high theater, due to the Democrats’ own deceptive ways — born of the party’s own faults. Let the political cannibalism commence.
