FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (AP) - The wife of Vice President Mike Pence will visit Fort Campbell on Friday to highlight new efforts to create employment solutions for military spouses.

Karen Pence will be joined by the Secretary of Defense’s wife, Leah Esper, in a visit to the Army post on the Kentucky-Tennessee border, according to a statement from the Office of the Second Lady.

Pence will speak to military spouses, meet with military leadership and visit the Intrepid Spirit Center at Fort Campbell’s art therapy program.

Pence launched a campaign in 2018 to promote and encourage military spouses and has been traveling throughout the country to address employment challenges.
