The New England Patriots are reportedly preparing to make quarterback Tom Brady an offer he can’t refuse. But if he does, the Las Vegas Raiders are ready to jump in.

According to multiple reports, the competition for Brady’s services are expected to be high when the 42-year-old reaches free agency in March.

The NFL Network reported Sunday the Patriots are willing to pay Brady in “excess of $30 million per year” to keep him in New England. The six-time Super Bowl champion had a cap hit of $21 million in 2019.

ESPN, meanwhile, reported the Raiders, who are moving to Las Vegas, are “poised to pursue” the quarterback if he doesn’t re-sign with New England. The Patriots can negotiate with Brady throughout the offseason, while other teams can’t speak to him until the beginning of the league’s new calendar year in March.

Last week, Brady posted a cryptic photo of him on social media, leaving others to wonder his intentions. The photo appears to show Brady either walking onto the field of a stadium — or walking from it, depending on how you see it.

That image, however, is reportedly a teaser for a Super Bowl ad and not a signal for any news regarding Brady’s career.
