AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - Maine labor officials are seeking public comment on their latest plan to connect job seekers with education, training and employment in high-wage, in-demand jobs.
Federal legislation requires the Maine Department of Labor to develop strategies for the state’s workforce development system. Along with the State Workforce Board, the department on Tuesday released its Unified State Plan covering 2020 through 2023.
The plan outlines the steps needed to address the state’s workforce needs and identifies tasks for each state agency and partner involved. Public comments will be accepted Feb. 19-March 4.
