Drew Brees announced Tuesday he will return for the 2020 NFL season, his 20th as a pro.

The New Orleans Saints quarterback will be a free agent this spring, but in a social media announcement, Brees made it clear he wanted to stay with New Orleans.

“My feelings about the 2020 season!” Brees said, including a photo of a mountain overlooking the ocean. “I look forward to the grind and the journey, for the reward at the end will be worth it!!! Love you #WhoDatNation. Let’s make another run at it!”

Brees, 41, is coming off a season in which he and the Saints fell short in the playoffs, losing to the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Wild Card round.

The three-time Pro Bowler won a Super Bowl in 2010 and holds a long list of passing records, including yards, completions and touchdowns.
