SCARBOROUGH, Maine (AP) - State and local police on Saturday were continuing to investigate a shooting in the parking lot of the Walmart Supercenter in Scarborough that left a man in critical condition.
Ryan Townsend, 24, of Saco, was shot Friday evening outside his vehicle, Maine State Police said. A Scarborough police officer who was inside the store at the time for another investigation was able to get the shooting scene within minutes, police said.
Two people were questioned about the shooting and released, police said. Investigators planned to do more interviews on Saturday.
Townsend was in critical condition at Maine Medical Center on Saturday, police said.
